Welcome to Oral Roberts University's self-study website.
The purpose of this website is to educate ORU's students, faculty, staff, and alumni about ORU's current institutional self-study.
The self-study is a comprehensive assessment of ORU's current strengths and weaknesses that will guide strategic planning for the University for the next ten years.
As well as helping ORU to remain focused on its mission,
the self-study will document ORU's commitment to remain accredited by the
Higher Learning Commission through excellence in whole-person education,
scholarly research, and community outreach.

What Is Accreditation?
|
|
Accreditation is the recognition by an official review board that an educational institution has met certain standards. Colleges and universities need such recognition to assure and advance a certain standard of higher education within the country. In nineteen states, including Oklahoma, the Higher Learning Commission provides accreditation to the institutions of higher learning that meet five criteria.
